On-line Near Infrared analysers are taking over the position of traditional analysers for determination of physical properties, chemical parameters and concentrations. A lot of traditional Benke on-line process analysers can be replaced by a multi-stream NIR analyser.

Advantages are its speed, mostly real-time, through which the output signal can be used for adjustment and the possibility to determine a number of properties and components with one single analyser. Examples are: Distillation Point, Cloud Point, Pour Point, Freeze Point, Vapor Pressure, Viscosity, product composition, RON, MON, cetane number, Density, organic components, benzene, aromatics, MTBE etc.
